This musical album is my debut full-length as a singer-songwriter, as well as a literal autobiographical timeline from 2012 to 2017 — a chronology involving: two years of initial descent into psychosis, a period of delusion and hallucinations followed by multiple psychotic breaks, several hospitalizations and a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia, then extremely debilitating treatment with heavy-handed antipsychotics and a considerable loss of cognitive functioning, thereby quitting music performance altogether, before, fortunately, an eventual a return to mental health through both therapy and precisely adjusted psychotropic care.
I ask that anyone who feels as though their listening experience with this album is such that they’d like to purchase it outright, please instead make a donation to The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation for any amount that you personally see fit. Also, because I'd prefer to be open sourced and avoid supporting current traditional channels of music distribution, those who might prefer file ownership can get them completely for free, in the form of the highest quality .WAVs, from the following Dropbox link, entirely on the honor system. The album is also slated to be available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all other streaming services.
I am absolutely grateful to be in perpetual recovery to the degree that I am today, and to enjoy the continued level of cognition that I have been afforded once again. It’s my goal to spread awareness for those funding and furthering the research of illnesses such as addiction, ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia.
Please, have a listen, spread the word, and consider paying it forward.
